My practice
I mainly work with adults and teenagers aged 14 and up on a wide range of issues - anxiety, depressive moods, emotion regulation, stress, procrastination, relationship difficulties. But what drives me most is supporting people through major life stages - transitions, moments of questioning, existential crises - those times when we find ourselves face to face with who we are and something calls for change.
My practice is meant to be authentic and direct. I place great importance on the quality of the therapeutic relationship - and when it feels right, I sometimes speak up with care. Not to push, but because that's sometimes exactly what's needed to move forward.
My approach is integrative - it draws on three complementary currents that I weave together based on what each person brings to the session.
The psychodynamic approach looks at the origin of difficulties - how we came to be who we are, and how our history, our significant experiences and our traumas have left their mark on the way we function today.
The humanistic approach looks at the adult of today - not just what they've been through, but what they do with it. What are their inner resources? What already belongs to them that they haven't yet learned to draw on? This is where schema therapy fits in, which I use to explore the deep patterns that shape our behaviours and relationships. The systemic approach widens the lens to what surrounds us - because our difficulties are rarely purely internal. They take shape within our relationships, our bonds, the dynamics we live in.
What I love about working this way is that it doesn't reduce a person to a problem or to their past. It takes into account who you are in all your complexity - where you come from, where you are now, and what surrounds you.
