A space to find yourself again.
Épines & Roses was born from a simple conviction: that everyone deserves quality, warm, accessible psychological support. A place where life's thorns can become strengths, and roses, a promise of growth.

Céline Schmitz
Psychologist · OPQ member since 2021
Trained at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest in Angers, I practiced in France before moving to Montreal in 2020. After my OPQ accreditation, I worked at the CCPE, then opened my private practice in 2023. Épines & Roses is the logical next step: a place where psychologists can practice together, in a solid framework, in the service of their clients.
My approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, humanistic and systemic currents. I rely on several approaches depending on each person's needs, rather than applying a single method.
- Master's degree in developmental clinical psychology, Université Catholique de l'Ouest, France
- Degree equivalency recognized by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec
- Member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ)

Today
Birth of Épines & Roses
Céline founds Épines & Roses with a clear vision: to create a multi-practitioner clinic where psychologists practice with full autonomy, in a structured and human setting.
Why « Épines & Roses » ?
The thorns represent life's challenges, pains and difficult moments - the ones you didn't choose but go through anyway. The roses symbolize the growth and resilience that emerge despite it all.
Together, they form a reality we carry every day: you can't have the roses without the thorns. And it's precisely the thorns that make them so precious.
